Raymond Knight

March 27, 1936 – July 4, 2017

SOUTH BEND – Raymond V. Knight, age 81, passed away at 10:48 am Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Creekside Village, Mishawaka, Indiana.  Raymond was a farmer in San Benito, Texas where he resided most of his life. 

Raymond was born on March 27, 1936 in San Benito, TX to the late Joseph and Louise Knight.  He married Rebekah Stokes on December 28, 2005, who survives.

Raymond is survived by his daughters, Victoria (Miguel) Acosta of Green Bay, WI and Mary (Kevin) Ault of South Bend; sons, Lonnie (Beverly) Knight of Polk City, FL, Jaime (Kimberly) Knight of Dallas, TX, Terry Knight of San Antonio, TX and Jody (Kristi) Knight of DeQuincy, LA; twenty-seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Verilyn Pendergrass and Carolyn Skinner; and his brother, Charles Knight. One sister, Marilyn, preceded him in death.

Raymond was a member of the Elks Lodge.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN, where friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until time of services.  Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
