Richard L. Cassler

Richard Lee Cassler, 58, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his residence in South Bend. He was born on June 8, 1959 in South Bend, to Edward and Betty Mae (Hess) Cassler, both whom preceded him in death.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Courtney Cassler of Mishawaka; son, Cody (Lindsey) Cassler of Waverly, NE; grandchildren, Benjamin Cassler and Elizabeth Cassler; sisters, Vicki Cassler and Nancy Singleton; and brothers, John Cassler and Gary Cassler. Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Simpson.

Richard was employed as a cook at Barnaby’s Restaurant for more than thirty years. He loved to go fishing and gambling in his free time. He was always testing his luck with the lottery.

There will be no services held for Richard. A Celebration of Life for Richard will be held at a later date.
