Rusalyne O. Ellis

Rusalyne O. Ellis, 83, residing in North Liberty, IN passed away at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 in the comfort of her home.

She was born December 14, 1933 in Oklahoma City, OK,  to the late Russell & Berniece (Schmidt) Dishroon, and has lived in this community since returning here in 2008.  On January 19, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Robert D. Ellis Sr.  They have enjoyed 65 years together.

Rusalyne is survived by her loving and caring husband Robert, daughters, Rebecca S. (Rick) Fox of Winamac, IN; Cynthia Ellis of Lynville, IN; and Kerry (Ben) Walbert of Walkerton, IN; and their son, Robert (Judy) Ellis, Jr., of North Liberty, IN.  Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and a sister, Rita Pride, of Owasso, OK.

Rusalyne worked for three years as Secretary-Receptionist for the Trinity United Methodist Church in Piedmont, OK.  Her most important role was being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and caring for her family.  She belonged to the Home Economics Club, the Lions Club in Missouri, and the Kingdom of God Fellowship in North Liberty.

Rusalyne has requested that there be no services.  The family has requested that all memorial contributions be sent to The Center for Hospice Care, Inc., 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
