Shelley Smith Obituary
Shelley Sue Smith, 50, lifelong South Bend resident, passed away at 5:54 am Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She was born August 24, 1967 in South Bend to the late Byron William Smith, Jr. and Ruth Evelyn (Fetters) Peli.
Shelley attended O’Brien School and Clay High School. She was involved with Luvability Ministries and Corvilla, and was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in South Bend.
Shelley is survived by her sister, Patti Nemeth of Granger; brothers, Mark (Jeanne) McDonald of South Bend, Tim (Kathy) McDonald of South Bend and John (Jodi) McDonald of LaGrange, IN; several nieces and nephews; and many friends and family from Corvilla Care.
Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, June 22, 2018 in the Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Private burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of Shelley may be donated to Corvilla Inc., 3620 Deahl Court, South Bend, IN 46628.
