Sherrette Monet’ Pearson, 51, of South Bend, IN, died at home on Friday, April 6. She was born on June 10, 1966 in Peoria, IL, daughter of Charles Pearson Sr. and Sharon Kathleen Wadsworth.
Sherrette attended the former Logan Jr. High and East High Schools in Waterloo. She was a graduate of World Harvest Bible College in South Bend, IN. She was also a talented visual and performing artist. Her paintings boasted bold colors and her boundless energy as a dancer with New Horizons and Visions Etc. was unmistakable.
Sherrette is survived by her mother, Sharon Terrell, and step-father, Albert Terrell of Chicago; fiancé Otis Dates of South Bend, IN; six sisters: Terry (Tony) Stevens and Cathy Pearson of Waterloo, Sandra Brown and Linda (Chris) Avery of Davenport, IA, Deardra (Earl) Thomas of Rockford, IL and Nevayah Terrell of Chicago IL; three brothers: Charles Pearson, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Marco Terrell and Joshua Terrell, both of Chicago IL; two step-sisters, Carmen Terrell and Carla Terrell, both of Chicago, IL; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Sherrette was preceded in death by her father, brother Dion and step-mother Ruth “Momma” Moon.
A home-going memorial service will be held in Sherrette’s honor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Gethsemane Church of God, 308 South Walnut Street, South Bend. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the church. Palmer Funeral Homes – West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Sherrette loved her family, laughing and playing with her nieces and nephews. Somehow her quiet spirit always found a way to bring joy to others in need.
