SILAS LAYNE ELDER

December 19, 2018 - February 9, 2019

Silas Layne  Elder, seven weeks old, passed peacefully in the arms of family at the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center - Mishawaka Campus.

He was born December 19, 2018 and met the eyes of Jesus at 12:46 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019.

Silas was the son of Dakota Wayne Elder and Brianna Leigh Dyer.

He is survived by his parents and two siblings, Weston Wayne Elder and Emma Garbison.

His paternal grandfather is Mark and Becky Elder, paternal grandmother, Deana and MarkFrettinger, maternal grandparents, Stacy and Cecil VanBlaricom, maternal grandfather, Brad Dyer, maternal great-grandparents, Kenny and Vicki Hygema, as well as many aunts and uncles. 

Silas gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on earth.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM EDT Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home - Lakeville Chapel, 601 North Michigan Street, Lakeville, Indiana 46536.  Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at the Fletcher Cemetery in Hamlet, Indiana.
