Stevie Summers

Stevie Summers, 52 years old, passed away at 11:36 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 in Fort Wayne, IN.  Stevie was  born on December 15, 1964 in St. Joseph, MI to the late Walter and Mildred (Nichols) Summers.  He was a lifelong resident of South Bend, moving to Fort Wayne three years ago.  Stevie enjoyed bowling and was an avid and talented fisherman.  He formerly was employed at Bremen Glass.

Stevie is survived by his four children, Hilary Summers, Steven Summers, Autumn Hillyer and Allison Hillyer, all of South Bend; three grandchildren; his step-father, David Stacy of Elkhart; four sisters, Mary Hullinger, Carol Geren, Sherry Summers and Darlene (Richard) Snyder; and four brothers, Ron Summers, Terry (Karen) Summers, Bruce (Stephanie) Summers, and Ricky (Becky) Summers.  Along with his parents,  Stevie was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Summers; and former wife, Teri Hillyer-Summers.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Southlawn Cemetery, 61300 U.S. 31 South, South Bend, IN .  There will be no visitation.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.
