Stuart L. Overmyer

Stuart L. Overmyer, 73, of Walkerton, IN passed away at 5:22 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his home.  He was born on February 19, 1944 in Fulton County, IN to the late Robert and Dorothy (Roudebush) Overmyer.  On February 1, 1964, in Walkerton, IN, he was united in marriage to the former Joyce A. Scott.

Stuart is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Joyce A. Overmyer; three sons, Michael (Michelle) Overmyer of Pekin, IL, David (Jo) Overmyer of Peoria, IL and Kenneth (Samantha) Overmyer of Walkerton, IN and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Walter Overmyer in 2008.

Stuart lived most of his life in Walkerton and North Liberty.  He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Stuart retired from Caterpillar Corporation after twenty-six years of service.
