Sucheta Uplekar

Sucheta Uplekar, 50, from Pune, India, passed away at 2:39 pm Friday, November 9, 2018 in her sister’s residence.

On March 26, 1968, she was born in Kolhapur, India to Arun and Bhagyashree Uplekar.  Sucheta was a gentle soul of an angel who taught us silently to love and appreciate each other and was always there for us in her calm and compassionate ways.  Her smile filled our hearts with joy and we are happy to have such an innocent soul in our family and will always stay so, in our hearts.

Sucheta is lovingly survived by her mother, Bhagyashree Uplekar, Pune, India; two sisters, Bhakti (and Mandar) Sharma, Pune, India and Krupali (and Markus) Krusche, South Bend; three nieces, Tashu, Gargi and Lili.  Sucheta is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Arun Uplekar.

Hindu Rites will take place at cremation.  A prayer service will be held on November 14, 2018 at 5:30 pm at the Log Chapel, Notre Dame, IN.  Services will be held at a later date in India.  Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services, South Bend have been entrusted with the arrangements.
