Susan J. Nelund

Susan J. Nelund, 67 years old, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, March 4, 2018 at her home.  Sue was born on April 2, 1950 in South Bend and has lived in Lakeville most of her life.  On February 6, 1982 at the Lakeville United Methodist Church, Sue was united in marriage to James “Jim” Nelund.  Sue and her husband were the former owners of Nelund’s Body Shop in Lakeville for over 25 years.

Along with her loving husband, Jim¸ Sue is survived by their five sons, Doug L. King of Lakeville, David R. (Holly) King of Plymouth, Danny J. (Heather) King of Plymouth, Jeff J. Nelund of Dowagiac, MI, and John (Martha) Nelund of Orlando, FL; seven grandchildren, Doug King III, Emily King, David King Jr., Tyler King, Austin King, Sam King, and Brittany Nelund; her mother, Mary E. Papczynski of Lakeville; three sisters, Sandra (Mike) Haws of Plymouth, Sharon J. Sheely of Lakeville, and Nancy M. (Jim) Yates of Goshen; and three brothers, Daniel A. (Gail) Papczynski, Paul D. (Shelly) Papczynski and Donald J. (Glee) Papczynski, all of Lakeville.  Sue was preceded in death by her father, Alex J. Papczynski, and her brother-in-law, Mike Sheely. 

 A gathering and celebration of Sue’s life will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Cornerstone Community Fellowship, 1375 Maple Road, Plymouth, IN  46563.  Palmer Funeral Home in Lakeville is assisting the family.
