Todd N. Higbee

Todd N. Higbee, 54, peacefully passed away on the evening of Saturday, August 17, 2019 after a courageous battle against cancer. Todd was born on April 14, 1965 in South Bend, IN.

Todd was a lifetime resident of South Bend and was employed by Heston’s Janitorial Services. Todd played pool with the APA Pool League for 18 years and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved dog, Ransom. He was a proud father, stepfather and grandfather and a cherished brother, son and friend. Todd will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Todd is survived by his parents, Dianne Perkins and Ernie Perkins of South Bend; son Brian Higbee of South Bend; granddaughter Rayah S. Higbee; stepchildren Juan Mercado and Christina Mercado, both of South Bend;; sisters Sherri Jester and Penny (Eric) Stratton, both of South Bend; brothers Michael Grenier of Plymouth, IN, Joshua Perkins of South Bend, Jeremiah Perkins of Minnesota,  Joshua Winger of South Bend and Xavier Perkins of South Bend; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Todd was preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. Jester in 2000.

Per the family’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. On Sunday, August 25, 2019, a memorial dinner will be held at the home of his parents, 1035 Napier Street, South Bend, IN 46601, starting at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Todd’s life and memory.
