Tomara Agnew

Tomara S. Agnew, 40, departed this life on October 7, 2018 at 5:18 a.m. at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Tomara was born on November 29, 1977 in South Bend to L.C. Agnew and Hattie Lee Magee. Tomara was a proud mother of three and a grandmother to one granddaughter and a grandson on the way.

Tomara cherished her time spent with family and friends. She liked to party, have fun, take pictures and to dance. She was the life of the party.

Tomara leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters: Terria McRae, Tamira Agnew, Ta’lor Agnew; one granddaughter, Ta’Niyah Patton and one unborn grandson, Tamarion Mcrae. She also leaves five sisters, Christine Magee, Shanta Agnew, Sherrill Agnew, Paris Agnew and Jill Agnew, all of South Bend; six brothers: David Magee, Michael Sessom, Demitrus Hollaway, Robert Ronald and Donald Agnew, all of South Bend. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as a special friend, Patricia Medina and a special cousin, Stephanie Ivy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Crystal Agnew and Melvina Magee.

Funeral services will be held for Ms. Tomara Agnew on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at New Birth Christian Ministries, 747 Harrison Avenue, South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the church. Pastor Cory Gathright, Sr. will officiate. Palmer Funeral Homes - West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
