Whitney Helene Dorsey

Whitney Helene Dorsey was born December 5, 1988, to the union of Herman Dorsey and Sandra Agnew. She departed this life in the early morning hours on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

She attended elementary schools in the South Bend area and graduated from Adams High School in 2007. Whitney loved getting together with family and listening to music. Her favorite pastime was collecting Tyler Perry movies. She confessed her hope in Christ publicly in 2015 at New Birth Christian Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Cory L. Gathright, Sr.

Whitney is survived by her father, Herman (Pam) Dorsey of South Bend; her mother, Sandra (Thomas) Agnew of South Bend; a brother, Damond Willis of Columbus, OH; eight sisters, Cynthia Green of Saint Louis, MO, Cassandra, Cook, Ruth Zimba, Rachel Dorsey, Selina Dorsey, Leona Myirongo, Tonya Scott and her twin sister, Brittney Dorsey, all of South Bend. Her extended family consisted of a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her close friends were Jennie, Lindsey, Carmoni, and Carlaya.

Funeral services  for Whitney will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Home—West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN 46628. Rev. Corey Gathright will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
