Yvonne "Vonnie" (Swartz) Fulmer

Yvonne “Vonnie” Fulmer, 87 years old, passed away at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in her home.  Vonnie was born on July 26, 1931 in South Bend to the late Albert and Linnie (Spitler) Swartz.  She has remained a lifelong resident.  In 1951 Vonnie married the late Wayne Frye and later married John Fulmer in 1973 and he proceeded her in death in 2001.

Vonnie is survived by her daughter Linda (Mike) Mankowski, stepson Richard (Barb) Fulmer of Granger, granddaughter, Tami McCallie of South Bend, great grandson, Jami Frick of South Bend and step- grandson, Jonathan (Miranda) Fulmer of Granger.

Proceeding Vonnie in death were 3 sisters, Velma Parkansky, Delores Allinson and Sue Chevillet, 2 brothers Glenn Swartz and Delbert Swartz as well as step-granddaughter Janelle Fulmer.

Vonnie was an avid gardener and loved her yard and flowers.  She also adored her cats.

There will be no visitation or services.  Palmer Funeral Home Guisinger-Chapel is assisting the family.
