Obituary

Allen “Big Al” Letson, Sr., 60, of South Bend, passed away in his sleep at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Allen was born to Ussery “Ernie” and Judy (Channell) Letson in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Allen was married to Elizabeth “Beth” Suzanne (Stevens) Letson.

He is survived by his wife, Beth (Stevens) Letson; his three children, Ashley (Billy) Sells of South Bend, Amber (Curtis Railing) Letson of South Bend, and Allen (Ashley) Letson, Jr. of Mishawaka. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren, Tobias, Mason, Owen, Aiden, Paisley, Harper, Adaleine, Courtney, Skyler, Eric, Mackenzie, Grace, Taylor (Kaleb Martinez) Sells; great grandson, Kingsley; sister, Susan Letson; and his brother, David Letson.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Ussery Letson and Judy (Channell) Letson.

Allen’s hobbies included gardening, leather work, metal & resin casting. He enjoyed being with friends and family as often as possible. He also spent many years traveling for work as the owner of Graphic F/X LLC in Bremen, Indiana, retiring in 2013.

Family and friends may gather with the family from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615.
