Angela J. Chmiel

Angela J. Chmiel, age 77, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on July 27, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1949, in South Bend, Indiana, to Alex and Ruby (McGee) Chmiel, who preceded her in death.

Angela was a graduate of Green High School and carried the values of hard work and perseverance with her throughout her life. She spent her working years in customer service in the retail industry, where she was known for her patience, courtesy, and genuine concern for others.

Family was at the center of Angela’s life, and she was especially devoted to caring for her parents. She was a loving caregiver to both of them, offering her time, energy, and compassion with steadfast commitment. Her care was given freely and faithfully, and it stood as one of the clearest expressions of her generous heart. Those who knew Angela understood that her love was shown not only in words, but in the steady and selfless way she supported the people closest to her.

Angela is survived by her brother, Jesse Chmiel; her niece, Judy Miller- Hartzell; and her sister-in-law, Mary Chmiel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Ruby (McGee) Chmiel, and by her brother, Paul Chmiel. Her family will remember her with love.

In addition to her devotion to family and work, Angela found joy in floral arranging. She appreciated the beauty and creativity of working with flowers, and this interest reflected her thoughtful eye and her appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 4, 2026 at Christ the King Lutheran Church Columbarium 17195 Cleveland Rd.
