Anthony B. Williams, 54, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at his residence in South Bend, IN. Anthony was born on October 1, 1963 in Chicago, IL, to his mother, Shirley (Hatcher) Roscoe, who preceded him in death; stepfather, Willie B. Roscoe of Niles, MI; and his father, Hugh Williams of Saginaw, MI.
In addition to his father, Anthony is survived by his daughter, Ashley Williams of Jackson, TN; grandsons, Curtavous and A'Zayreon; sister, Bonita (Jerry) Mance of Niles, MI; four brothers, Lamar (Mary) Hatcher of Michigan City, IN; Hugh (Pam) Hatcher of Niles, MI; Kevin (Wendy) Hatcher of Cassopolis, MI; Willie (Malika) Roscoe of Warsaw, IN; and several step-brothers and step-sisters; aunt, Michelle (Willie) Francis; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anthony served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was employed as a prep cook at a hotel. He lived in Niles, MI for more than forty years, prior to moving to South Bend. He attended Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Niles, MI.
Funeral services for Anthony will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Pastor Fletcher E. McAfee of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and Rev. Willie Francis will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00-1:00pm on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. Graveside services and burial with military honors will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
