Arvis Jean (Shirk) Sikes

Arvis Jean (Shirk) Sikes, 83, of South Bend passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday December 18, 2025, at the Center for Hospice-Esther House in Elkhart.

Arvis was born on April 24, 1942, in South Bend to the late Walter and Pauline (Pritz) Shirk.

On July 7, 1990, she married Allan Sikes, sharing 35 years of marriage.

Arvis will be sorely missed by her husband and her children; Debora Twarowski, Dean Dodd, and Jonathan Dodd as well as many grandchildren, great grand children and great great grandchildren.

Arvis was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Gustav Dodd

Arvis will be laid to rest at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
