Austin Ty Jones

EVANGELINE PARISH, LOUISIANA – Austin Ty Jones, 22, formerly of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 following a tragic auto accident which also claimed the life of his wife, Destinee.

Austin was born on November 26, 1992 in South Bend, Indiana to Ty A. (Theresa) Jones and Dina (Roger Scott) Callahan.

On May 9, 2014 in Hahnville, Louisiana, he was united in marriage to Destinee Nicolas and made their home in Covington, Louisiana.   Wyatt Holden Jones was born to them on May 28, 2014 and survived the accident.  Austin and his wife, Destinee, were technicians with Deep South Communications in Louisiana.  He loved his job as a communication tower climber.

Austin is survived by his father, Ty A. (Theresa) Jones and his mother, Dina (Roger Scott) Callahan; Austin and Destinee’s son, Wyatt Holden Jones; brother, Caleb Jones; sisters, Rebeccah Jones, Rachel Callahan, Mariah, Morgan, and Madison Rorie, Nikki and Ryan Potter, and their son, Lachlan; grandparents, Katherine Smith, Timothy and Patti Jones Gyuriak, Carl E. and Roberta Jones, Joe and Linda Miller, Roger and Cheryl Callahan, and Earl Crossland.. Austin is also survived by two great grandmothers and many, many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Frank E. Jones and Hershel Smith.

Funeral services for Austin Ty Jones will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the First Pentecostal Church of Edwardsburg, MI, 27341 US 12 West, Edwardsburg, MI 49112 with Pastor Robert Geans officiating.  Graveside services will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 22, 2015 (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM) at First Pentecostal Church.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
