Avis Arlene Phillips, 73, residing in South Bend, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her home. Avis was born November 15, 1946 in Carrollton, Ohio to the late John Solomon and Gretchen Miller. She lived in the Mishawaka area since her 20s coming from Carrollton, Ohio. Avis worked as a secretary for City Pattern.

In Las Vegas, Nevada, she married William Phillips, who survives. Along with her husband, Avis is survived by her daughter, Janice Spiek and granddaughter Heather Spiek.
