Barbara Louise Armentrout

Barbara Louise Armentrout, 89 years old, of Plymouth, formerly of South Bend passed away at 5:20 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth.  Barbara was born on April 19, 1936 in South Bend to the late Glenn M. and Golda Ione (Seese) Martin.  On November 11, 1955 in Lakeville, Barbara and John G. Armentrout were united in marriage.  John preceded her in death on September 29, 1986. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Diane Armentrout; sisters, Patsy Bennett, Betty Bunton, and Glenda Pozsgai; and her step-sister, Fern Nettrour.  Barbara is survived by her step-sister, Carolyn (Dave) Nowakowski and her nieces and nephews. 

Barbara was formerly self-employed in housekeeping. She had many adventures as an avid camper.  She loved horses and enjoyed trail riding. 

A private viewing will be held and entombment will take place at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting the family.
