Basil W. Tudor, 86, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Basil was born on September 18, 1939, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Elmo and Edith (Sauers) Tudor.
On January 7, 1966, in South Bend, Basil married Arlene Bonarirgo. Arlene survives, along with their two sons, Alan (Nora) Tudor of Mishawaka and Bryan (Kim) Tudor of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren, Kyle (Hannah) Pangallo, Keaton (Samantha) Pangallo, AJ Tudor, Anthony Tudor, Rylee Tudor, and Charlotte Tudor; and three great-grandchildren, Piper, Hollon, and Elijah. He is also survived by his two brothers, Dennis Tudor of Vandalia, Michigan, and Eric Tudor of Cassopolis, Michigan.
Basil worked in maintenance at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka for 26 years and was very proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Basil enjoyed many years of fishing on the St. Joseph River and the Great Lakes, as well as building an assortment of things for others in his garage.
Visitation for Basil will be held on Monday, June 22, at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 23, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bavo Catholic Church, 502 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, with one hour of visitation prior to the Mass. Father Pete Pacini, CSC, will officiate, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka, where VFW Post #360 will conduct military honors.
A luncheon at Albright United Methodist Church, 504 W. Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, will follow the graveside service.
