Betty J Baiz

Betty J. Baiz of Mishawaka passed away in her home on June 6, 2023. She was born on December 4, 1926, in Dowagiac Michigan.  She married the late Tom Baiz on October 7, 1948. They were blessed to share 71 years together. Family was everything to Betty. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. After raising her children Betty worked at the Penn Township Assessors office. She also volunteered for many years at Ronald McDonald House. 

In her later years, Betty made many good friends at Primrose. She was an avid reader, with a daily routine of solving the Crossword, Word Jumble, Sudoku, and taking a walk. Every afternoon Betty and her best friend, Rhona Rumney watched their favorite game show, 25 Words or Less.

She maintained her positive attitude and sense of humor. When asked how she was doing, her reply was, “Best I Can.”. When asked how she slept, she said, “In A Bed.”.

Betty is survived by her three children, Tom Baiz Jr., Ken Baiz, and Barb (Baiz) Kissane; seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family from 9am to 11am on Friday June 9, 2023, at Palmer Funeral Homes – Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main St., Mishawaka, Indiana.
