Betty J. Kincaid, 98, of South Bend passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday February 24, 2026.
Betty was born in Hymera, IN on April 9, 1927, to the late Forest and Amanda (Burns) Stout.
After graduating from High School she went on to attend Indiana University. She worked in clerical work for many companies including Studebaker and retired from Miles Laboratories.
Betty married Robert Kincaid Sr. in 1969 and shared 43 years of marriage before his passing in 2012.
Betty was an avid cyclist for a time, enjoyed knitting and donating blankets she made, was a long time member of the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed walking at parks and Lake Michigan.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Leslie Rush and Linda Litte, her grandchildren; Anthony Rush, Lisa (Kyle) Davey, Nathan (Cathy) Ulmer, and Scott (Kristine) Teeters as well as 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Her brother, William Stout also survives.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, and her brother, Don Stout.
A memorial service in being planned for a later date.
