Betty A. Russo

SOUTH BEND – Betty A. Russo, 96, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at her home.

Betty was born on October 27, 1925 in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Tom and Hazel (Rohrer) Miller.  In 1947, in Jamestown, New York, Betty married E. Belmont McNoldy, who preceded her in death in October of 1968.  Later, in 1974, she married Victor F. Russo, who also preceded her in death in May of 1994.  Betty was also preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Emory B. “Monty” and Jill McNoldy; along with her seven siblings.  Betty is survived by several grandchildren and step-grandchildren, along with step-sons, Mike Russo and Vic Russo.

Betty worked for many years managing Life Employment Service in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio under the name “Betty Mack”.  She was also the owner and operator of Vittorio’s Restaurant in South Bend.  She concluded her career at the University of Notre Dame in the Development Office, where she worked for 16 years.  Betty wanted to express her “special thanks” to her wonderful Notre Dame family.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.  Palmer Funeral Home ~ River Park Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Robert L.
