Beverly A. Connell, 72, of South Bend, IN passed away at 12:50 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 in her home. She was born on April 7, 1939 in South Bend, IN to the late Frank and Helen (Zubrits) Ellis.

Mrs. Connell is survived by her husband, John Connell; daughter, Tammy Horner of Coronado, CA; four sons, Frank Hewitt of Ormond Beach, FL, Tim Hewitt of Coronado, CA, Tom Hewitt of South Bend, IN and Tracy Hewitt of Aurora, CO; sister, Barbara Bagarus of Granger, IN; brother, Richard Ellis of Anguilla, British West Indies; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her cousins, Linda Wieczorek of South Bend, IN, Susan Kyle of Granger, IN and Julie Rutledge of Schoolcraft, MI and her life-long friend, Frances Andrysiak of South Bend, IN.

Mrs. Connell lived in South Bend for the last thirty-eight years, previously residing in CA for ten years. She graduated from Riley High School. She worked at the former Ball Band (Uniroyal) and former E.H. Tepe.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011 in the Cathedral of St. Matthew, 1701 Miami St. South Bend. There will be no visitation. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend, IN is handling the services.
