Blaine D. Fisher

Blaine D. Fisher, known to many as Blainard or Bubby, was born on June 7, 2002, at Elkhart General Hospital.  Blaine was a son, brother, and friend whose life was tragically taken away from us on Friday June 4, 2021.

Blaine was genuine, loyal and honest. He was a good friend to many. He was passionate toward his beliefs and working on building his future as an adult. He held several roles over the last several years, but the one he will be most remembered for is that of a preschool teacher. He spent his days working with impressionable preschoolers and school-aged children at Foundations Child Care Center.

Blaine was an animal lover and such a gentle way with animals of all kinds. Blaine also had a heart of gold and surrounded himself with his many friends.

Blaine is survived by his mother, Jennifer Fisher of Mishawaka, his father, David Fisher of Elkhart, his siblings Madison (15), Grace (11) and Joshua (6), his grandfather, Larry Oakley of Mishawaka and grandmother, Penny Fisher of Elkhart. He has a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will forever carry him in their hearts, Blaine believed that Legends Never Die – may all who know him- keep his legend alive on earth. Blaine was preceded in death by his Grammy (Donna Oakley) and Paw-Paw (Calvin Fisher) and favorite pets – Abby, Harley and Simba, who he will now be spending eternity with.

A memorial service and gathering for Blaine will be held at at Northern Indiana Event Center, 21565 Executive Parkway, Elkhart, IN 46514  on Friday, June 11, at 5:00 p.m. followed by a dinner at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Any flower orders can be delivered to Northern Indiana Event Center.

There will also be another Celebration of Life cook out held at a later time, date to be determined. Details will be released by the Family once finalized.
