Bodie Andrew Carnes, a courageous and beloved infant, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023, in South Bend, IN. Born on May 29, 2023, in South Bend, Indiana. He was the cherished son of Brandi and Jason Carnes.

Bodie is survived by his loving parents, Brandi and Jason Carnes, his maternal grandmother, Michelle Brubaker of Mishawaka, maternal grandfather, Randy (Debra) Landis of South Bend, paternal grandmother, Debi (Kerry Hardy) Demeulenaere of Niles, Michigan, and paternal grandfather, David (Jacki) Carnes of Vandalia, Michigan. He is also survived by many adoring aunts and uncles who were deeply touched by his presence in their lives. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Kring.

Bodie's life, although short, was a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit. His courage and determination inspired all who knew him. His family is grateful for the time they had with him and the love they shared. They will carry his memory with them always, cherishing the moments they had together and the lessons he taught them about the power of love and the importance of living each day to the fullest.

The Carnes family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals and caregivers who provided support and care for Bodie during his life. Their dedication and compassion were a source of comfort during a difficult time.

As we say goodbye to Bodie Andrew Carnes, we celebrate the impact he had on those who loved him and remember the courage he displayed during his brief time with us. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his memory will be a source of strength and inspiration.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel & Gardens, 61453 M-51, Niles, Michigan.
