Bonnie Kelley, 97, of Buchanan, passed away on December 5, 2025, after an extended illness. Born on leap day, February 29, 1928, in Dyer, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Maddie (Caruthers) Kelley.
Bonnie found joy in nature, caring for her flowers and gardens, the companionship of many types of animals, and the creativity of art. She was a gifted painter and ceramics artist and, in her younger years, even owned her own studio. Over the years she worked in many roles, but the heart of her life was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved them with all her heart and was happiest when they were together. Her gentle heart, feisty spark, and enduring love will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son, Terry, and his wife, Gail Lovelady; her grandsons, Justin Lovelady and Ryan (Beth) Lovelady; and her extended family. She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Bonnie will be laid to rest privately at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan.
