Brian J. Merriweather

Brian J. Merriweather, a man whose laughter could fill a room and whose heart was as vast as the Indiana plains he called home, left this world on April 9, 2024, at the age of 28. He was born on January 26, 1996, in South Bend, IN.

Brian was a graduate of Clay High School. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran.After his service, he continued to serve his community as a logistics manager for the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.

Brian enjoyed watching movies, cartoons and attending WWE events in Tampa. He was a fierce competitor who loved games. He enjoyed every minute spent with family. He was a caring person and would help anyone in need. He was always ready with a quip or playful jest.

Brian is survived by his parents, Miguel and Penny Jara; his siblings, Elena (Joseph Panetti) Davis, Michael Merriweather Jr., and Sade Gray; his grandparents; Jose Jara Mora and Garnet Bentley, and his Aunt Kelly Bentley.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents; Donald Bentley and Cristina Jara Navarrete.

Memorial visitation will be held from 3pm-7pm Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Palmer Funeral Home ~Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635. There will be Military Honors given at 3:30 pm on April 18, 2024 at the funeral home.
