Carl James "CJ" Berg

Carl James “C.J.” Berg, 3 days, was born on October 9, 2015 to his proud parents, Carl and Chelsea (Whiteman) Berg of Plymouth.  C.J. passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.   

C.J. is survived, along with his parents, his grandparents, James Bradley “Brad” and Julie (Davis) Whiteman of Lakeville,  Andrea and Jody Wakley of Goshen, and Steve Berg of Plymouth; great grandparents, James and Nancy Whiteman of Plymouth, Wilda Smith of Knox, and Andy and Elaine Mora of Argos;  and aunts and uncles, Chris and Emily Harris of Plainfield, James Whiteman of Lakeville, and Liza Wakley of Goshen.  C.J. was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Gerald and Sally Davis, and Carl Berg; and great great grandmother, Fern Dietl.             

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Southlawn Cemetery, 61300 U.S. 31 South, South Bend, IN.  There will be no visitation.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend, is assisting the family. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Carl James “C.J.” Berg may be donated to the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Memorial Children’s Hospital, 615 N. Michigan Street, 3rd Floor, South Bend, IN  46601.   Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
