Carl Lacey

Mr. Carl Lacey was born on November 24, 1948 in South Bend, IN. He was a lifelong resident of South Bend and attended South Bend Central High School. His past employers include the Bendix Corporation, Dodge Reliant K and Scott Brass, from which he retired. 

Carl enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, biking, dancing and listening to music. His favorite musical artists were Al Green and James Brown. He loved to dress fashionably and his signature mark was the variety of hats he always wore. 

Carl passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. He was greeted on the other side by his mother, Rosie Lacey and a sister-in-law, Doloris Lacey. 

He leaves to cherish his memory four siblings: Gloria Hardy of South Bend, Terry Lacey of Osceola, Lutisha "Peaches" Moss (Bob Cook) of South Bend and Lena Simpson of Columbia, South Carolina; special cousin Pamela Shelton and lifelong friends Pasto Calvin (Sharon) Macon and Frank (Marilyn) Dupriest, all of South Bend. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Carl will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his warm and infectious smile. 

Services for Mr. Carl Lacey will take place on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home - West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN 46628.
