Carol Jean (Wallisch) Haag

Carol J. Haag, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the age of 81. She was born on December 27, 1941 in Chicago, IL to the late Paul J. and Elizabeth A. (Mesko) Wallisch.

She was blessed with a daughter, Lisa Muellner Lobel of South Bend, who survives. On November 2, 1972 in South Bend she was united in marriage to James F. Haag, who preceded her in Death in 2005.   

Carol retired in 2009 from St. Mary’s College with 42 years of service where she worked as the assistant to the Registrar. After retiring she enjoyed helping with delivering for Meals on Wheels and was always there to lend a hand and assist others. She also enjoyed reading, listening to music (Abba, especially) and caring for her animals. She was an avid bowler, very proud of her 713 tournament series and write up in the South Bend Tribune.

In keeping with Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer North Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
