Obituary

Carol Sue Smith, 73, passed away on Monday evening, May 9, 2022 at Holy Cross Rehabilitation and Wellness in South Bend, IN. She was born on April 18, 1949 in South Bend to Robert L. and Elizabeth M. (Rist) Smith, both of whom preceded her in death.

Carol is survived by her two brothers, Michael (Nancy) Smith of New Carlisle, IN, and Patrick (Debra) Smith of Granger, IN. Carol was an aunt and great-aunt to Justin Smith, Laura (Ben) Hecht, Chloe Hill, Tiricia (Michael) Hill, Willow Hill and Lucas Hill.

In accordance with Carol’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.

Contributions in memory of Carol may be donated to Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545; or Pet Refuge, 4626 Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.
