Carolyn Dale (Hartin) Buck

Our beloved mother, Carolyn Dale Buck, 81, of Culver, Indiana, passed away at 8:09 a.m. on February 26, 2026, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver.

She was born on October 2, 1944, in Freeport, New York, to Oliver Hartin and Muriel (Verity) Hartin.

A woman of simple joys who found happiness in crocheting, reading, and baking. She cherished time spent with her family and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and steady presence in the lives of those she loved.  Carolyn dedicated 20 years of service as a clerk with the United States Postal Service before her retirement.

She is survived by daughters, Pamela (James) Cealka of Granger, Indiana; Lorraine Boutwell of Sellersburg, Indiana; and Kelly (John) Mason of Plymouth, Indiana; her sons, Donald “Bret” (Martha) Seaman of Ocala, Florida, and Keith (Janice) Seaman of Elkhart, Indiana; nine grandchildren; Bradley (Janelle) Freshour, Nicole (Eli) Weinmann, Dannie Morrow, Kayla (Nick) Ponsler, Nicholos (Kelsey) Emmans, Matt Cealka, Barry Emmans, Ethan Boutwell and Sydney Emmans; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, D. Keith (Pam) Hartin of Merrick, New York.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Jill Booth and Erin Peckinpaugh.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana.

Carolyn’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
