Carolyn Wickizer Obituary

Carolyn Wickizer, 62, passed away in her home on June 2, 2021, in South Bend, IN. She was born on August 25, 1958 to John and Florence Robertson, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jason Wickizer and step-mother, Ann Hughes.

Carolyn is survived by her lifelong partner of 26 years, Jack Vaughan; daughter, Stephanie (Doug) Wickizer-Otis; step-daughters, Teri Vaughan and April (John) Karn; three sisters: Gladys (Mark) Chenez, Gail (Bill) Hallendy and Diane (Bob) Everts; one brother, John (Becky) Robertson; three grandchildren: Cameron, Alexia, and Ella; two step-grandchildren, Nathan and Dylan; her forever best friend (former husband) Albert Wickizer; and Mary, Phyllis (Pat), Richard and Bob who were once in-laws but stayed forever sister and brother. She had many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends she considered family.

Carolyn was very much a people person. She loved and cared for everyone. She never met a stranger. She was often referred to as an "Earth Angel". Her smile alone, enlightened any given moment. She was a big animal lover. Any and all animals, she loved, especially her two min-dachshunds, PorkChop and Bruitus. She loved her flowers, Mickey Mouse and shopping. But most of all, she just loved being around people.

A memorial service for Carolyn will be held Saturday, June 12 at 2:00pm at Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka.
