Cathy J. Jackson-Reed

Cathy Jane Jackson Reed, 79, a lifelong resident of the Michiana area, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, May 18, 2026.

Born in South Bend on October 28, 1946, Cathy was the daughter of the late Neal and Lucille (Heim) Jackson. She was known for her kind spirit, love of family, and deep appreciation for the outdoors. Cathy especially cherished her fishing trips to Canada, where she found great joy in nature, wildlife, and the peaceful beauty of the outdoors.

Cathy is survived by her children, Tricia (Tammi Spivey) O’Blenis and Troy Dillon, as well as her beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Jackson.

Cathy will be interred at a later date at Westlawn Cemetery in North Liberty. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the North Liberty American Legion, 308 S. Reed St., North Liberty.
