Chadwik "Chad" J Kaufman

Chadwick “Chad” J. Kaufman, age 49, passed away on December 30, 2025, in Anderson, Indiana. He was born on August 24, 1976, in Murray, Kentucky, to Ronald D. Kaufman and Judy A. (Jackson) Kaufman.

Chad was a 1995 graduate of Danville High School and spent many years working in pest extermination, a field in which he took great pride. Recently, he moved to Indiana to help care for his mother—a reflection of his loyal and giving nature.

The center of Chad’s world was his daughter, Renea, and later his grandson, Charlie. When Renea was young, he loved taking her fishing, tubing down the river in the summertime, and sledding on Buck Hill in Buchanan—often joined by other family members who made those outings even more memorable. Those early adventures with her were among the happiest moments of his life. Chad also had a deep love for animals and was a member of Bethel Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Buchanan.

Chad is survived by his mother, Judy Kaufman; his daughter, Renea Kaufman of Indiana; his grandson, Charlie J. Jones; and his sister, Ronda (Matthew) Woods. He also leaves behind his aunt, Linda (Glenn) George and uncle, Wayne Jackson along with a host of extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services for Chad will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Bethel Apostolic Tabernacle Church, 945 Chippewa St., Buchanan, MI. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will immediately follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan.
