Charlanne K. “Anne” Morgan, formerly Charlanne Mills, 84 years old, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026. Anne was born on April 6, 1942 in Lafayette, IN to the late Harold and Majel (Burnett) Nichols. She lived a life filled with adventure, creativity, laughter, and love.
Anne worked as an executive clerk for Delco Electronics in Kokomo, IN. Outside her career, she embraced the world with curiosity and enthusiasm, traveling extensively and accomplishing the extraordinary goal of visiting all seven continents.
Ann was an avid reader, accomplished cook, and talented oil painter whose artwork reflected both her creativity and appreciation for the beauty she found in life. Anne had a wonderful sense of humor, a loving soul, and a warm spirit that drew people to her throughout her life. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and many friends. Her kindness, laughter, beauty, and generous love left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Morgan and her oldest son, Michael Mills. She is survived by her children, Susan (Jim) Caldwell of Mishawaka, IN, Richard Mills of the Indiana Veterans Home in Lafayette, IN, Harvey D. (Janet) Mills of South Bend, IN and Patrick (Bambi) Mills of Rossville, IN; and grandchildren, Alexandria “Alex” Mills, Indiana “Ana” Mills, Ashley Nelson, Kathleen “Kit” Caldwell-Glaub, Madison Caldwell, Harvey M. Mills, Hunter Mills, Hannah Mills, Xander Mills, Megan Jerils, Machenzie Reeves, Cooper Mills, Nathaniel Hulett, and Seth Hulett. Anne is also survived by her siblings, Lee (Richard) Tonelli, Karen Nichols, Janice Mentzer, Phyllis Kasowski and Mark (Hope) Atkison, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
The family would like to give special thanks to Southern Care Hospice for their kindness and loving care in helping them care for their mother, grandmother, and sister. In accordance with Anne’s wishes, there will be a private celebration of life with family. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is assisting.
