Charles H. Gay, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024, in South Bend, IN, at the age of 79. Born on October 25, 1944, in Michigan City, IN, Charles was the son of the late Charles T. Gay and Lucille (Heinz) Gay, and brother to the late Sally Zavada.

Chuck's passions were as vibrant as his personality. An avid fisherman, he looked forward to the fishing trips to Mississippi with his friend Ron Johnson and others.  His love for dancing was infectious, and he could often be found swaying to the tunes of Elvis, his musical icon. Chuck had a unique way of looking at life's mishaps, often using his signature phrase "That’s Monkeyed Up" to describe situations that didn't go as planned.

In his final days, Chuck was cared for by the compassionate team at AseraCare Hospice. Their dedication to Chuck's well-being during his time with them was a source of great solace to his family.
