Christina Robinson, affectionately known as Mother, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, at the age of 82 born on December 23, 1943, in South Bend Indiana to the Late George Murphy and ANNASTEIN Lee JOHNSON.
Christina was proceeded in death by her daughter Yulanda Showers Sister Gina Murphy and Sharon Morris Sheri. Her legacy will be carried on through her baby brother WALTER T JOHNSON. Her grandchildren, Anthony Henderson and Nelson Williams great grandchildren Nazi Henderson Corey Henderson and Taiwan Williams. Christina affectionately known as Mother, she was the pillar of her Church the Lord‘s house of Shepherds.
Mother was very outgoing and outspoken. She loved everyone and never met a stranger. Always shared her home with anyone who needed shelter and fed anyone who was hungry. She was God ‘s extended hand here on earth.
Mother loved to cook and loved shopping. Didn’t mind a good game of cards and bingo.
For many years, Christina was a dedicated employee at the Tyson Chicken factory, where her diligence and reliability made her a valued team member.
Christina's life was a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of family.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 am-11 :30 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana.
