Colleen Jacqueline Lerner, 96 of Granger died on June 18, 2022. Colleen was born on September 4, 1925. She was born and raised in South Bend, and has lived in various places including Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, and Connecticut, before moving back to the area for good. She was most proud of the fact she was able to become a nurse through the Cadet Nurse Corp during World War 2.

Colleen spent her working years as a pediatric nurse at Bixby Hospital in Adrian, Michigan as she always loved caring for people.

Colleen is survived by her 2 sons, Robert Lerner Jr. of Berkley, MI and Kenton (Kathleen) Lerner of Garnet Valley, PA; granddaughter, Angela Lerner; and 3 great grandchildren, Hannah, Eleanor, and Benjamin Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lerner; parents, Leo and Mabel Davis; sisters, Joellen Fleming and Marilyn Pavuls; and brother, Jack Davis.
