Our beloved, Cynthia, peacefully entered eternal rest in the early morning, Thursday, January 29, 2026 at the age 73.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her father Leonard Mason Sr and mother, Alberta Davis, her beloved sisters, Frankie L. Williams, Paulette Edwards, Lorena Ann Miller, and her son, Henry Cormier Jr.
She is survived by her siblings, one brother, Leonard (Mary) Davis Jr., three sisters, Lela Gibson, Linda Collier and Diane Mason, her daughters, Tasha Hawkins, LaCongia (Jade) McKinney, Shaniqua Cormier, Eva (Gary) Richardson, Annie (Bruce) Greg, sons, Jerry Cormier, Damien Cormier and Nathaniel (Shana) Cormier, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends whom she loved dearly.
Born Cynthia Gayle Davis, on March 13, 1952 to parents Leonard Mason Sr. and Alberta Davis Miller, Cynthia was the youngest daughter. From a young age her larger than life presence and nurturing spirit were evident. Known by many as “Dibbie”, her no-nonsense, quick-whit and big heart made her one of a kind. She always enjoyed time in the kitchen — cooking and baking— and time spent in fellowship with those she loved. She was a true sports lover and die-hard Dallas Cowboys Fan. Her favorite pass times were a good card game, a challenging puzzle and competitive cooking shows. But her greatest joys in life, were to know Jesus Christ as her savior and to care for the family she created. Her prayers by faith moved mountains and her hugs brought comfort to the deepest parts of your soul. Her limitless love was a safe place for all.
Please hold every memory close. May they bring you comfort until we are reunited in eternity. But most of all, when you think of her, think of the goodness of Jesus, for he has brought us a mighty long way!
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8)
