Cynthia Scherrer Obituary

Cynthia June Scherrer passed away on February 20, 2026, in South Bend, Indiana, at the age of 69. Born on March 20, 1956, in Berrien Center, Michigan.

Cynthia was predeceased by her parents, Cleatus Green and Jean (Davis) Zech. Her memory will be forever held in the hearts of her family, including her sons, Rogelio (Leeann) Alacala Jr. and Joshua Richardson; her adored grandchildren, Dakota (Lexi), Bishop (Kileigh), Duston, and Emilee; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Emmit, Colton, and Briar. Cynthia's siblings, Bonnie Jeschke, Kimberly Dailey, Lonnie Green, and Brian Green, will also miss her deeply.

Cynthia's life was marked by her dedication to others, a trait that shone brightly through her work as a nurse in the healthcare industry. 

Beyond her professional achievements, Cynthia was known for her love of crochet, which allowed her to create beautiful pieces. An avid reader, she found joy in the pages of books. Cynthia's love for her grandchildren was unparalleled, and she cherished every moment spent with them, instilling in them the values of kindness and compassion that she embodied. Cynthia's beloved cat, Rascal, was a source of comfort and companionship. Cynthia's memory will be cherished by all who knew her. 

In keeping with Cynthia's wishes cremation is taking place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home - Hoven Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
