Darrell W. Derickson

Darrell W. Derickson, 65 years old, passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his home.  Darrell was born on October 26, 1956 in Decatur, IN to the late Alvin Lee and Verla Faye (Smith) Derickson.  He has been a lifelong area resident.  Darrell was a truck driver for 14 years and was formerly employed at Auto Value, Goodwill and Global Fiberglass in Elkhart.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Charlotte M. Derickson; daughter, Jasmine Derickson of South Bend; son, Darrell (Teka) Derickson, Jr. of Osceola; step-son, David Yeskey of South Bend; six grandchildren, Ashley (Marcus) Nelson, James, Haley and Nash Derickson, and Aryiah and Braidyn Yeskey; and two great grandchildren, Nolan and Olivia Nelson.  Darrell is also survived by three sisters, Pam, Deb and Penny, and three brothers, Alvin, Glen and Dale.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend where friends may visit with the family beginning at 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Darrell may be donated to Palmer Funeral Home, 3718 S.
