David Davenport Obituary

David R. Davenport, 77 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 31, 2020 at his home. David was born on April 30, 1943 in Kokomo, IN to the late James R. and Mary Jane (Ashburn) Davenport. On January 21, 1976, David married the love of his life, Rochelle Cabanaw, who survives.

Along with his wife, Rochelle, David is survived by his daughter, Shawn Varda of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Katelyn Davenport and Miley Varda; as well as his brother, Douglas R. Davenport of Kokomo, IN.

David was a technical stage manager for 40 years at Indiana University South Bend and the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend. He practically worked every show witnessing some of the best performances in the Michiana area.

Per David’s wishes, there will be no services or visitation. Palmer Funeral Home--Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.

Memorial contributions can be made in honor of David to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Dr, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
