David E. Egmer

David E. Egmer, 60, residing in Elkhart, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.  David was employed as a machinist at Kobelco Manufacturing, Elkhart. 

David was born on June 1, 1961 in Niles, Michigan to the late Milton James and Jean M. (Carpenter) Egmer. 

David is survived by two daughters, Karole Ramirez of Mishawaka and Brittany Egmer; four grandchildren, Izaiah, Genavieve, Ellyona and Cyrus; his sister, Karen Lindquist of St. Paul, Minnesota; two brothers, Alan Egmer of Elkhart and Chris (Tara) Hoadley of Edwardsburg; nephew and nieces, Wyatt, Christopher and Chloe.

David has many friends at the VFW. He loved carpentry; dancing; and working on cars.  He loved his corvette and affectionately named her “My Nancy”.

David was a kind and generous man, even in his passing, his gift of life donations have saved three lives.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 pm Saturday until time of services.
