David O. Henley, 53, of Granger passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, January 7, 2020. He was born July 31, 1967 in Hartford, CT to Samuel and Virginia (Jones) Henley. On June 22, 2013 in St. Joseph, MI, David married his loving wife, Lori (Robinson) Henley, who survives.
In addition to his wife and parents, David is survived by his daughter, Krista Henley of Seattle, WA; son, Luke Henley of Seattle, WA; stepsons, Brady (Rachel) Luken of Bristol, IN and Blake Luken of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Jackson Jeffery, Harper Luken and Grant Luken; and brother, Paul (Jena) Henley of Honolulu, HI.
David was employed as a specifications technician at Voyant Beauty in Elkhart. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-South Bend. David was quick-witted and had the best sense of humor; he was always joking around with his family and friends. He loved Michael Jackson’s music, watching football and was an avid fan of Notre Dame and the Cleveland Browns. David was a handyman and enjoyed working on various projects around the house. He never knew a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial visitation for David will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 4:00-7:00pm at Palmer Funeral Home--Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, IN. A funeral service will be held by his family in Bowling Green, VA where he will be laid to rest in Rollins Family Cemetery.
