David Gaylord Mishler

David Gaylord Mishler, 82, residing in South Bend, passed away peacefully at 9:27 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Raclin House, Mishawaka, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 5, 1943, in Sturgis, Michigan, a son of the late Glenn M. & Louida (Leinbach) Mishler.  On August 15, 1964, in Stockton, California he was united in marriage to Monna Louise Mabry.  He is survived by his loving wife Monna, of 61 years, as well as his two daughters, Denise (Steve) Addison of Rochester, IN; Diane (Rich) Stewart of Delphi, IN; and his two sons, DaVon (Darlene) Mishler of Mishawaka; and David (Kristin) Mishler of South Bend, IN.

  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Mason (Hailey) Mishler, Noah and Gideon Mishler, Taylor, Trenton (Alaina), and Tiara Stewart, and five great-grandchildren,  Lee-Anni, Kenzo, Oakley, Judah, and Ezra.  He is also survived by his loving sister, Arlene Sechrist of Goshen, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dale Mishler.

Mr. Mishler retired as a truck driver in 2005 with Teamsters and Roadway Express following more than 30 years of service.  He was a devoted member of Ironwood Pentecostal Church in South Bend.

Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29 at Ironwood Pentecostal Church, 4609 So. Ironwood Drive, South Bend. Rev. Clint Walker, Rev. Steve Addison, and Rev. Mason Mishler will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. Sunday at Ironwood Pentecostal Church.  Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Southlawn Cemetery.

Contributions in memory of Mr. Mishler may be offered to the Church.  The Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is assisting the Mishler family with arrangements.
