David S. Whitmer

David S. Whitmer passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 91 in Granger, Indiana. Born on October 27, 1932, in North Liberty, Indiana, David was the cherished son of the late Paul and Katherine Whitmer.

David's life was one marked by the love he had for his family and the dedication he showed in every aspect of his life. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Estella Mae Whitmer, and together they shared a life full of joy and companionship until her passing. David's legacy continues through his sons, Craig, Dennis, and Ron Whitmer, and he was preceded in death by his son Blain Whitmer. The joy of his life was further multiplied by his adoring grandchildren, Ashley, Alisha, and Blain, who will carry forward his spirit of kindness and integrity.

A proud graduate of North Liberty High School, David's work ethic was evident from a young age. David was a Marine Veteran serving his country proudly. He built a career as a truck driver, a role that he performed with exceptional dedication and pride.

David's brother, Paul Whitmer, survives him and will fondly remember the bond they shared throughout their lives. He was preceded in death by his brother Phil Whitmer, with whom he shared many cherished memories.
